Terms and Conditions:
These Terms and Conditions explain your rights and obligations. Please read them carefully. You may have other rights granted by law and these Terms and Conditions do not affect these except if the two are inconsistent. If this is the case then these Terms and Conditions will override any other rights which you may have, unless this is not permitted by law.
W R Outhwaite & Son, Ropemakers have made every effort to ensure that the information presented on the site is both true and accurate. However, W R Outhwaite & Son, Ropemakers, its employees and agents will not be held responsible or liable for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies occurring within this content.
Furthermore, errors in any of our sales literature/price lists, typographical, clerical error, omissions or otherwise, issued by the company shall be subject to correction without any liability on the part of the company.
The contract:
The contract between us shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.
In these conditions "the company” and “we” shall mean W R Outhwaite & Son, Ropemakers and "you" shall mean the person,organisation, or company placing an order with the company.
We may change these Terms and Conditions from time to time without giving you notice. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received.
Purchasing from us:
To purchase from us you must be over 18. By submitting your order you are agreeing to buy the goods (the contract) and allowing us to use your personal details (including passing your details on to couriers and other subcontractors). You may ask that your details be removed from our system by contacting our head office (Tel: 01969 667487). For further details please see our privacy policy.
Orders:
Our Buy Online systems are currently available for customers with UK delivery addresses *only*. England, Scotland and Wales. Excludes Offshore Islands and Scottish Highlands.
Products:
The measurements shown are approximate, and may vary +/- 5% from those shown during the manufacturing process.
Colour:
Colours displayed within the site will vary and are dependent on a number of factors and as such should be seen only as representative.
Availability:
All goods are offered subject to availability and we reserve the right to withdraw any item without notice. In the event that any item you order is not available and that we do not have a suitable alternative for you, a full refund will be made. Please note that your card is not charged unless items are in stock or until they come into stock.
Prices:
All prices include VAT
We reserve the right to alter prices at any time.

Payment:
We require payments in £ (pounds) Sterling. All payments will be cleared before goods are despatched.
Credit Card Security:
Your card number is never revealed to us but held in encrypted form by the bank.
Ownership of Goods:
Title in the goods will remain with W R Outhwaite & Son, Ropemakers, until such time as payment has been received in full of all monies owed to W R Outhwaite & Son, Ropemakers, at any time by the buyer.
Delivery:
All orders are sent by courier and require a signature on receipt. It is important to leave a delivery address where somebody will be present to receive and sign for the goods. Redelivery may incur extra carriage charges.
Goods are normally despatched within 3-7 days.
International orders are generally received in under 28 days.
The company can accept no responsibility in the event that goods are left as instructed by you without your presence at the time of delivery. f you fail to accept delivery of goods when delivered the company reserves the right to attempt delivery of the goods at a later date and to invoice you a further delivery charge. Risk of damage to or loss of the goods shall pass to you upon delivery. A receipted invoice will be included. Damage or shortages to be notified within 24 hours of receipt of goods. We will acknowledge all such notifications received.

Carriage costs are indicated at the checkout.
Returns and claims Policy:
It is the policy of W R Outhwaite & Son, Ropemakers to ensure that all goods are supplied to our customers in perfect condition and that every possible precaution is taken to protect the integrity of the product that is sold. Each package is personally checked prior to being despatched.If for any reason you are not entirely satisfied with your online purchase please contact our head office within 24hours of receipt when the goods may be exchanged or refunded (goods being returned to us must be in the same condition as supplied to you).If you have any issues or queries regarding this please contact our head office on 44 (0) 1969 667487.

Cancellations:
If you wish to cancel any order you may do so at anytime after an order has been placed , or up to 7 days after the date of delivery. All notices of cancellation must be given to the company in writing.
In the event that you cancel an order after delivery you must inform the company in writing within 7 days. The goods must then be returned at your own expense to the company within 14 days of your notification to cancel your order. If you are unable to return the goods you must make the goods available for collection upon request and within 14 days of your notice to cancel your order. This will be at your expense and you will not be entitled to a refund of the original delivery charge. The company will be entitled to charge you (an equivalent amount to the original delivery charge) for this collection. These conditions will still apply in the event of any discount/special offer applied to delivery charges.
The company will not be liable for any costs incurred in the return of cancelled orders. The goods will not be deemed to have been returned until notification is given by the company that the goods have been returned to the address advised by the company.
The company shall be entitled to recover all costs, loss,charges,and expenses incurred in connection with goods returned not saleable as new.
Products Damaged During Shipment
If the packaging appears damaged on the outside, please refuse to accept it from the carrier or make a notation on the proof of delivery slip that the items are damaged.
If you do accept a damaged shipment you must inform us immediately as claims for damaged goods must be presented to the carrier within 24 hours of receipt.Outhwaites will not be responsible for visible shipment damage not reported to us within 24 hours of receipt. If the packaging appears undamaged but there is "hidden damage" to the products inside the packaging, contact Outhwaites (01969 667487) within 24 hours of receipt. We cannot accept "hidden damage" claims after this period as we are unable to pass on claims to the carrier after this time.
Summary of Non-Returnable Items:
- Custom items incorrectly ordered by customer
- Items that have been used
- Items that are not brand new and/or where contents that were shipped in the original order are missing
- Items not adequately packaged
Overseas Orders:
Customs:
Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. You are advised to contact your local customs office for further information.
Unfortunately, W R Outhwaite & Son, Ropemakers cannot be held accountable for delays in customs clearance. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
